Springtime in La'ie

While everyone has their reasons for visiting Hawaii , without exception, they are all good ones!  Surfers from around the world flock to Hawaii in the winter months when the surf is up and the water is still seasonably warm.  Winter and Fall months are also popular times for the Snow Birds that come to Hawaii to escape their frozen homelands and thaw out in Hawaii's tropical paradise.  The most popular (and crowded) time of the year are the Summer months.  The air and water temps have warmed up, you've worked hard all year and the kids are out of school.  No better reason to plan a Hawaiian vacation.  But Springtime.....The smart money is on Springtime. During March and April, Hawaii is even less crowded than fall, and visitors get the added bonus of watching the island's vegetation spring to life in colorful bursts of bloom. April and May are something of a tourists' no-man's land in Hawaii -- the visitors who come to Hawaii to escape the chill winters of their hometowns have left, while the families with school-age kids have yet to arrive. Like fall, spring also offers plenty of travel bargains and discounts. The tourism industry, after all, lives and breathes by the law of supply and demand.
